Tea & Eat

As you may already know I'm in Sofia, Bulgaria for the holidays and while I was walking home yesterday through a window of a pastry shop I saw a glimpse of this...
...a beautiful Elektra  Belle Epoque espresso machine. I was quite intrigued and entered to see what is it all about. I didn't have high expectations for the cappuccino I ordered, because firstly this was clearly a pastry shop and then in Bulgaria when you order a cappuccino you usually get something like espresso with not properly steamed milk and with lots of dry foam on top. And this is what I got actually, for 3,50BGN - around 2,20CHF (a normal price in Bulgaria). The coffee used in the shop is not fresh, there were no grinders, so they were using pre-grinded illy coffee.

Apart from the coffee the shop is really cute and there was a lot of Christmas decoration everywhere. They are also selling different types of wine, tea and coffee and the pastry looked really amazing, too bad I was in a hurry and couldn't try anything.

So this was it, pastry shop Tea - pronounced in Bulgarian more like "Thea", but with hard T. It has nothing to do with the beverage. Conveniently located in the central part of the city on 186 Georgi Rakovski Street.
